1. Your personal data – what is it?

Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (‘data subject’). 
The processing of personal data is governed by the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) which came into force on May 25th 2018.

2. Who are we? 
Decafnomilk is a data controller.  This means we decide how your personal data is processed and for what purposes.

3. How do we process your personal data?

Decafnomilk complies with its obligations under the “GDPR” by 

  • keeping personal data up to date

  • by storing and destroying it securely 

  • by not collecting or retaining excessive amounts of data

  • by protecting personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access and disclosure

  • and by ensuring that appropriate technical measures are in place to protect personal data


4: What we use your personal data for

  • To enable us to deliver our services to you, from the point you request a quote and therefore potentially entering into a contract of works with us.

  • To maintain our own accounts and records.

  • To keep archive copies of any designs for future use eg: business cards/letterheads and website backups.

5. What is the legal basis for processing your personal data?

  • processing is necessary in order for us to deliver you with the service you require, i.e. the contract which you are party to; or in order to provide you with a quote for delivering a service i.e. to take steps, at the request of you prior, to entering into a contract.

  • to fulfil our contractual obligations to you: we cannot reasonably do this without processing personal data 

  • we do not process your data for marketing purposes.

6. Sharing your personal data
Your personal data will be treated as strictly confidential and will only be shared with others for purposes connected with delivering the service you have agreed for us to carry out. 

We do not share your personal data for marketing purposes.

7. How long do we keep your personal data?
We store data for 6 years after the service we delivered to you was completed. 

Specifically, we retain data while it is still current on:  

  • your name, address and e-mail address

  • your phone number

  • Any artwork which has been commissioned and which contains personal data eg business cards/letterheads or website back ups

8. Your rights and your personal data  

Unless subject to an exemption under the GDPR, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data: 

  • The right to request a copy of your personal data which Decafnomilk holds about you.

  • The right to request that Decafnomilk corrects any personal data if it is found to be inaccurate or out of date. 

  • The right to request that Decafnomilk provide you with your personal data and where possible, to transmit that data directly to another data controller i.e. ‘data portability’ 

  • The right, where there is a dispute in relation to the accuracy or processing of your personal data, to request a restriction is placed on further processing

  • The right to have your personal data erased ‘right to be forgotten’ if it is no longer necessary for the purpose which Decafnomilk originally collected or processed it.

9. Further processing

If we wish to use your personal data for a new purpose, not covered by this Data Protection Privacy Notice, then we will provide you with a new notice explaining this new use prior to commencing the processing and setting out the relevant purposes and processing conditions. Where and whenever necessary, we will seek your prior consent to the new processing.
